Nasal Steamers – Mabis Steam Inhaler Reviews

“Very effective”
By Edward E. Rom (Mankato, MN United States)
I had another steam inhaler some years ago, a Kaz TheraSteam. I have problems with my sinuses, and it didn’t help much. I have spent years, and some money, on attempting solutions to my sinus problem, with insufficient success. It’s been getting better over the years, but every now and then I still wake up after 5 or 6 hours of sleep and can’t fall back asleep unless I inhale steam — a hot shower sometimes works, but it basically means getting up and being up for a while, which is no help if it’s less than a two hours before the time I’m supposed to get up anyway. One of the best Nasal Steamers

I was shopping for a new humidifier, and not finding much, when it occurred to me that there might be a better steam inhaler than the one I used to have. I came to Amazon and looked around, and decided on the Mabis. I am glad I did! This item definitely does the job, giving off copious amounts of hot wet steam, which is the perfect remedy for my dry burnt-feeling sinuses. You can even adjust it for the kind of steam you want!

My only quibble is that it says in the instructions that the operating time is 6-9 minutes; it seems to be closer to around 15, which is OK with me. The main thing is that, because of this device, I’ve gotten some sleep that I otherwise would have missed.

“A++ Steam Inhaler”
By Dorothy A. McNeil
The design of the inhaler is revolutionary. I found it easy to use and it has done a wonderful job for me. I use it with the attached aromatherapy chamber. It’s doing an excellent job of relieving my allergies. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this unit to friends and family. I had a question for customer service. I called the toll free number and received courteous and prompt service. You won’t be sorry with your purchase.

“Good Quality..Satisfied Buyer”
By Rex N. Mills (U.S.A.)

Having purchased cheaper steam inhalers, I am finally satisfied with the Mabis. It is a little more expensive than other but in this case, as usual, you get what you pay for.

“This is the one”
By Charles A. Boy Jr. “SeeBrown” (Everett, Ma United States)

The design quickly makes a dense steam which lasts about 10/15 minutes per charge of tap water and an additive liquid of your choice. I have used others that can’t make the dense steam this one can. It is worth the price. You will have it a long time.

“A Godsend! brilliantly designed, very effective relief,”
By K. C. Ligon (New York City)
This personal steamer is a Godsend, it is a pleasure to use, and it relieves sinus dryness and congestion very effectively. Sometimes I follow a 15 minute session with another depending on how stuffy I am. The reviewer that advised using the aromatherapy chamber in order to enhance the power of the steam is right. I fill that chamber with water and two to three drops of essential oil of eucalyptus. This produces a light aroma (like a steamroom) and also immediately disappears any smell the plastic mask has that someone else mentioned bothered them. The operation requires a few steps but they are all sensible, logical ones; the unit is well-thought out, and it “comes to you” (unlike others where you must lean over to position yourself in the mask). This machine is saving my life this winter–I couldn’t be without it.

“Natural Cough Relief”
By K. Wahl
I heard about Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa while on a trip to China. The gentleman who recommended it to me appeared to be quite knowledgeable about natural medicines, so since I was coughing a lot, I decided to give it a try. It was terrific! Since I’ve been back in the U.S. I showed the list of ingredients to a friend who is well informed about natural and homeopathic remedies. She was very excited about it so I ordered a box 6 bottles and have since distributed them to friends who have had various coughing ailments. It has worked great for all of them. I need to order more because all, except for my one open bottle, have been given away.home remedies for a sore throat

“Best medicine out there, needs to be used more often!”

Many people don’t know about this stuff, but I’ve been taking it since ever since I can remember in China. When you dilute it in water and sip it, it opens up your throat and soothes it and doesn’t taste nearly as bad as it looks. It can be taken directly, and I’ve never taken anything better. All natural ingredients, no preservatives. I take this when I lose my voice and/or have a sore throat. Swear by this stuff, I wish more people knew about it.Home Remedies for a Sore Throat

“Really stopped my “violent” coughing spells”
By C. Cayabyab (San Diego, CA United States)

I received this syrup from a friend, after I’ve tried NyQuil, DayQuil, Mucinex, and Delsym. This was the only product that stopped my coughing, especially at night. I was finally able to sleep well. I’m not a fan of syrups, because I don’t like the taste, but this tasted like fruit (I’m assuming that’s due to the loquat). I wasn’t too thrilled about how thick the syrup is, but I got over it.

Pei pa Koa is still the best Home Remedies for a Sore Throat. Try it now!

Eric Kampel asked:

The recent swine flu outbreak in Mexico has caused much trepidation among the international community, especially because of the increasing number of fatalities. It is important to recognize swine flu symptoms to prevent the spread of infection and illness.

Swine flu or swine influenza is a respiratory infection caused by the influenza type A virus, endemic in domestic pigs. In the past, swine flu has infected people only rarely – those infected being ones who have had direct and close contact to infected pigs. But the current swine flu outbreak in Mexico is different, caused by a new strain of the swine flu virus. As per recent health reports, swine flu is being transmitted with surprising speed in humans, spreading easily from person to person, causing serious illness among those infected. It has been reported that the disease has been diagnosed in humans who haven’t had any exposure to pigs.

Among pigs, swine flu symptoms include sudden onset of fever, depression, coughing, sneezing, breathing difficulties, redness or inflammation of the eye, going off feed, and discharge from the nose or eyes.

Like the influenza virus affecting humans, swine flu viruses are constantly mutating. Although the swine flu viruses are not the same as human flu viruses, swine flu symptoms resemble those produced by regular human seasonal influenza. In humans, common swine flu symptoms are fever, chills, sore throat, muscle pain, severe headache, coughing, lethargy, lack of appetite, weakness, and general discomfort. Some may even experience runny or stuffy nose, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

However in humans, self care measures and appropriate treatment in the early stages of infection can reduce the increased risk of these complications.
