I had this weird throat pain on one side and found out thhat is was due to acid reflux…the acid from the stomach flows up when I sleep and burns my throat….sucks ass but I’ve stopped eating late and this helps

for strep? sounds a little extreme…idk. do you have congestion? if you do then it’s not strep, or do you know it’s something else. if he’s giving you penicillin it could be something serious like pneumonia, which i’ve had before

Normally It works for me. This time around, it turned out that my sore throat was caused by a yeast fungal infection (oral thrush). I was recently on a course of strong antibiotics for too long a period. This upset the natural chemistry in the mouth which caused the Candida albicans, which we all have, to flourish. It wasn’t caught in time because the GP assumed I had swine flu, so I couldn’t see him.
